About Crime Stoppers

Macomb Area Crime Stoppers, Inc. is a non-profit program involving three essential elements in the fight against crime; the media, the community, and law enforcement. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of McDonough County citizens. The board decides on cash rewards and raises funds through private donations and other fund raising activities.

To report a crime, please call Crime Stoppers at (309)836-3222. Crime Stoppers will pay you up to $1,000.00 cash for information leading to an arrest, or solving a crime. Crime Stoppers will not ask for your name or telephone number, just your information regarding crime. Crime Stoppers will give you a case number that is also used to check on a payout. This keeps the process anonymous.
